While Kamala Harris’ selection of Tim Walz as her vice presidential pick was already announced before the Democratic National Convention, delegates have warmed up to his addition to the ticket.
He grows on you… I like the guy.
He’s very … neighborly I would say.
He’s the perfect choice.
Some delegates initially preferred someone else. But the Minnesota governor brought folksy charm, as one delegate put it, to win them over.
He kinda spoke to the heart of America in a way that we haven’t been spoken to in a long time.
Democrats here in Chicago say they appreciate Walz’s middle class and military background. They say this gives him a realistic perspective of what most Americans face.
He’s a regular guy who understands common people’s problems and he’s got common sense solutions and he’s willing to put it to work.
And then there's the comparison between Walz and Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance.
You can’t even say apples and oranges gosh what would you say onions to apples maybe.
You have someone who’s genuine and authentic, versus someone who’s disingenuous and inauthentic.
Democratic delegates and people watching at home will hear Walz speak Wednesday night.
