A multiracial daughter of immigrants is one step closer to achieving her American dream and making history.

She will do good for everyone. Importantly for people of color – brown and Black communities, I mean – she comes from the community. She knows the challenges that we face because she has faced them.

Black and brown voters have traditionally supported Democrats. However both sides have been courting them this election.

These are voters that should not be taken for granted and their voice matters and can help to shape the platform

Harris is the first woman of color to earn a presidential nomination from a major party.

To be able to see women in those positions to make those decisions is very inspirational.

Many Republican voters who are people of color might have had different upbringings from their nominee Donald Trump, but they still support his policies. Manny Garcia and Jason Miyaras are both Latinos and sons of immigrants who support the party’s stances on gender and immigration.

My family is originally from Mexico. I know the struggles they went through to get here legally.

When you take a step back and analyze who you are and who we are as Hispanics, [as] a Mexican, I realize, Hey, I’m actually really conservative

Miyares also emphasizes some of those conservative values.

Love of country, love of family, and entrepreneurship makes the Republican party natural to home.

While Trump’s campaign focuses on stricter immigration policies and limiting abortions, Harris has emphasized reducing poverty and ensuring a woman’s right to choose her healthcare.

Under Kamala Harris we can have so many of the things that will help us. For instance, an increased child tax credit, which has shown itself to reduce poverty by as high as 50%.

Tell me as a woman that I cannot make a decision about my healthcare, your healthcare. Absolutely not.
